This project was for the development of a Learning Management System for the The New York City Teaching Fellows. The system allows teachers to design online course training and testing materials for the Fellow applicant trainees to use outside of the classroom. It allows the teachers to create assessments for the course material with multiple question types - true/false, multiple-choice, fill in the blank, matrix, or essay. The teachers get access to realtime detailed reports of each students progress, and also statistics on the overall performance on any assessment.

Mesmerize Marketing subscribes to the Reuters news feed, which continuosly streams XML content to the server. 5D Studios developed a solution which parsed the XML content and inserts it into a SQL Server database, at which point, a Mesmerize employee can log into the backend system and choose and edit which news items to publish for the day. The news title, content and image are then dynamically placed and sized into an existing template, which can then be downloaded as a PNG file, to be distributed into their network.

Konrad Fiedler, photo editor of the New York Sun, wanted a photography portfolio site that is clean and simple, easy to use, while still being cheap to maintain and easy to update. We designed a one-page site that loads all the content into one place, requiring the least amount of clicks possible for the user to navigate the site. All of the images are hosted by Flickr, and pulled into the site using the Flickr API, allowing Konrad to upload and edit his image sets using Flickr's existing tools, saving him development time and hosting costs.
